Rembrandt
with Karmi Architects
Rembrandt is a 15 units building part of a regeneration scheme within the City of Tel Aviv Quarters Masterplan. AALK was invited by the Housing Association, as part of a design competition, to propose a solution for the addition of 50m² per floor and the addition of 2 floors. The idea was to wrap the building with a new ventilated skin allowing every room, in the existing flat, to have a private outside space accessible directly from the room. The outside space is wrapped itself by a series of wooden blinds allowing the free flow of the air.
