Founded in 2009, Atelier d'Architecture Laurent Katz has developed a reputation for delivering design excellence and innovation in architecture and design. The Practice works on cultural, residential, health and commercial projects providing full architectural and interior design service. Laurent Katz currently works on major projects in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem and is teaching a studio of architecture at the Bezalel Academy of Design at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.


​AALK was created to enjoy architecture and design while providing a creative and dynamic service. The practice works under the influence of both Europe and Middle East bringing creativity to its best and offering a service adaptable to the everyday life of each and every one us. AALK's aim is for you to feel comfortable and at ease in the space we design for you. The practice is driven by an approach to open your mind to new experiences while respecting your aspirations and expectations. As a result we adapt ourselves to create details matching your personality responding to the individuality of the building. We enjoy creating and inventing adaptable design from small pieces of furniture to a whole private or public building.

The work of AALK  is based upon a strong and solid base of interactions between the different bodies of design following a rigorous organization and marketing process that will allow us to respect time scale constrains and budgetary restraints on the project.

           Architecture and Urbanism

Laurent Katz graduated from Edinburgh College of Art | University of Edinburgh in 2005 and joined Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners where he worked with the Battersea Power Station Team delivering sustainable options for the urban regeneration project including the Power Station. He then joined David Chipperfield Architects on their UK team where he delievered numbers of tender and construction packages on several UK Projects such as The Hepworth Wakefield or One Kensington Gardens, De Vere Gardens apartments block. 


In both offices Laurent Katz gained wide-ranging experience including working with listed buildings, sustainable principles for contemporary architecture and on projects ranging from individual items of bespoke furniture to urban redevelopment. 

Today, Laurent Katz is the principal and creative director of Atelier d'Architecture Laurent Katz established in 2009.
