Atelier d'Architecture Laurent Katz

The owner gave us a free hand to design a "three parts" extension to the existing house. The idea was to create a series of 3 blocks in different heights, each related to the space it's embracing. By creating a additional block to each section with a higher ceiling, we succeeded to give the impression of a larger and bigger extension that it is in reality.

The high ceiling allowed us also to introduce high level windows, creating a system of natural ventilation for the living areas.
