Eilat Town Hall

with the Heder Architects

The competition challenging the architect to rethink the utilities and possibilities of a town hall building and its direct surroundings. Eilat is situated in the desert, on the Red Sea and it’s often under high temperatures. The idea was to create a sustainable building that uses the sun and wind to create energy, and acts as a huge umbrella over the public square. The building being elevated enough, it is then easy to create a multitude of functions under (cafes, shops, open-air theatre and so on…).
