Ben Yehuda
Ben Yehuda is a 13 units + 2 commercial space mixed-use building part of a regeneration scheme within the City of Tel Aviv Quarters Masterplan. AALK was invited by the Housing Association to propose a concept design for the strengthening of the existing building and the enhancement of the façade and the addition of two new floors. The building is a facing a busy city centre boulevard. The long balconies along the façade act as a buffer zone between the busy street and the flat.
The refurbishment of the building includes the addition of a lift and an automated car park for the new flats.
